So many times I have found myself debating on whether it is necessary to give a certain testimony. At times it feels too personal, other times it could look too insignificant. My perspective has however changed as I read the story of the Samaritan woman.
The Samaritan woman was just going to fetch water on a normal day. She then found Jesus sited at the well. Jesus requested for a drink but she was hesitant because Jews never interacted with Samaritans. Jesus went on to explain that He was able to give living water, that she wouldn’t thirst again. She still did not believe until he mentioned to her, the secrets of her marital status. This is when she believed, and she went on to the city and told everyone to come see the man who was able to tell all that she has done
John 4: 39 Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me ever did
The Samaritan woman said her testimony in simplicity, but ot had such a great impact. Probably the Samaritans would not have listened to Jesus because He was a jew, but they listened to their own. Today maybe God could be using your past pain and struggles to reach out to others. It could feel insignificant, embarrassing etc. However you are probably carrying a testimony that can help many people believe.
Share what the Lord has done in your life. You might not see the impact physically like the Samaritan woman, but there sure is a life that will be encouraged by it.
