Having an investment is one thing that most people if not all think about at one point in their lives. However for one to manage to invest in whichever sector, they usually have some amount of financial capacity. For example, I have seen people investing and growing in real estate, but it does not just start with getting a mortgage or buying a new property, the journey starts way before that first move. It starts from having some savings.
Proverbs 13:11 (b) Whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow. When you think about anyone who has built up wealth over a period of time, most of them started small. The difference between you and that person is time.
Two tips I have learned about saving is starting immediately. Do not wait until you have a lot of money for you to start saving. The more money you get the more you realize that it seems never to be enough. So whichever stage you are at in life, it is neither late or too early to start saving.
Secondly, do not focus on saving an amount but a percentage. For example if you decide to save X amount, and overtime your income grows then you might end up saving less than you are capable of. On the other hand in case your income becomes less, then it might be impossible or too frustrating to save. On the other hand if you focus on saving a percentage of your income, no matter what your income is, you will always have savings.
Lastly, Proverbs 13:22(a) A good person leaves an inheritance for their children’s children. I hope that you will manage to save not just for yourself but even for others. To create wealth for others. If possible, even for the wealth to help not just your family but many other souls, and most importantly that as you save wisely, that you become an inspiration to others to do the same, and leave a legacy of good men.
