In life at times it feels inevitable not to allow worry to take a hold of us.
This is meant to encourage you, I know in the midst of trouble it feels like all is lost, no one understands or cares but I have come to learn that if we just put our trust in God then He will handle the rest.
The other day I was reading Psalm 29, and I felt as if I had never read it before, I got so encouraged and I just want to share it with you, trusting that you’ll get a glimpse of hope to keep trusting in God
Psalm 29:5-6 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, the Lord breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon leap like a calf, Sirion like a young wild ox.
If God’s voice breaks the huge cedar trees, and makes mountains to skip like a calf, I have only been close to a hill and i bet it looks so intact that it doesn’t look like anything can move it, and even that God says He makes it skip like a calf and wild ox.
Well it might feel like you’re being consumed, at times the stress we go through make us feel like our life is being melted, all our peace is flowing out of us. Guess what God says Psalm 29:7 The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire.
When He speaks the fire is divided, remember what He did to Shedrack, Meshack and Abednego, they were put in flames of fire, but they were not only taken out safely but thee clothes were not smelling fire. That is exactly what He means even in your current flames.
What about the wilderness? Last year there was a time in my life when I felt as if I was going through a wilderness, it was not easy. I felt all alone even around people, I felt as of nothing was moving. Trust me when that season passed, i admit I have become stronger in my faith.
This is what God says on the wilderness. Psalm 29:8 The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh.
Well if it feels like a storm, and floods, like the boat you’re in is filling with water and about to sink, this is what He has to say Psalm 29:10 The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever.
When Jesus was on earth, He told a storm in the sea, “Peace be still” and that is exactly what happened.
If God has control over nature, things like mountains, fire, deserts and even storms and floods, things we can’t fully understand, is your situation too difficult for Him? He says nothing is impossible with Him.
The last verse on this Psalm is just like ice cream on the cake, it sums up everything Psalm 29:11 The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace. Ask God to come and give you the strength to go through the issues, since He has already assured us that He is working behind the scenes, what we need is strength and peace as we wait for the victory to unveil.
I encourage you to know nothing takes God by surprise, all we need to do is talk to Him about the issues worrying us, and trust Him to handle. He’s not only willing to do us good, but He’s also able.
